'Em's Beauty and Care' how it started ...

 

Hello, my name is Emmelien Porrez and as a 10 year old girl I already dreamed of opening my own beauty salon one day.

With that attitude I started looking for a secondary school that would help me on my way as quickly as possible.

 

At the Sint-Jozef Institute in Kessel-Lo I could already study from my 3rd year for what I wanted to do so badly. Namely taking care of people and offering relaxation in busy daily life. After my training of 4 years, I had the opportunity to study two additional years of specialization: Aesthetic body care and Make-up / Make-up.

 

I would have graduated as a 19-year-old, but where would I find work ...?

 

A month later, In the summer of 2016 I was able to start as a medical pedicure in the 'Zoniën' rest home in Tervuren. An opportunity that I grabbed with both hands and where I could gain lots of experience in a short time. At the same time, I started working on VRT to do the make-up for, among others, 'Van Gils en Gasten', 'Het Journaal', Terzake 'and' De Afspraak '.

 

In 2018 I was able to rent a building in the center of Vossem and after a major renovation I was able to realize my dream there in February 2019. My own beauty salon Em's Beauty and Care, my childhood dream of 12 years ago, has opened.

 

I hope to be able to develop this dream, my own beauty salon in the heart of Vossem, for many years to come.
